1/10 Have You experimented w/ Buttercrunch Toffee?

It seems that none of my recipe books have info about this. In recipe-searching I have found different ratios of butter/sugar and some recipes that include baking soda.....Would you kindly share your experiences and/or suggest some books? . I did make a successful batch using a recipe with butter>white sugar+ lt brown sugar and no bak. soda, but want to understand differences etc .Appreciate your help.
