Former food editor at major magazines, Samantha Seneviratne based the name of her blog on the Sri Lankan semolina, cashews, honey, and spice confection called Love Cake. She's authored two books, The New Sugar and Spice: A Recipe for Bolder Baking and Gluten-Free for Good: Simple, Wholesome Recipes Made from Scratch. We want her hazelnut cake with chocolate sour cream frosting, and her Portuguese custard tarts with passion fruit and blueberries. Oh, and her lemon meringue thumbprint cookies.
