Café of Love is the four-month-old offspring of Ladle of Love, a hound-endorsed takeout kitchen in Mount Kisco. So far, so good: Fans are queuing up for the newcomer’s French-accented American cooking.
Meals open with a much-praised bread and cheese buffet. Other high points, Chowhounds say, include salads, duck confit and breast, and New York sirloin served with three sauces (chimichurri, horseradish, bordelaise). “Everything I’ve tried there has been good,” hersheyluva10 swears, except for one misfire: a sauce served alongside the excellent french fries. Save room for croissant bread pudding—“I would literally die for it,” hersheyluva writes.
