While editing our recent Three-Bean Salad recipe, I came across the most charming website: Paul and Bernice Noll’s Window on the World. The Nolls are a lovely couple from Oregon who chronicle their lives (where they reside, their time in China, information about birds) through the site. The food-specific sections particularly caught my attention. The ginormous batches of canned goods, pies, and salads that Bernice is able to pump out are quite impressive, and the accompanying photos and charts are actually very helpful, if, say, you wanted to make fluffy dinner rolls, or needed a metric to nonmetric conversion chart. The Nolls’ site is quirky and entertaining, and a great way to waste a few minutes at work.
