East Villagers are talking up a new pie-and-slice spot called the Pizza Shop. fishermb describes “a damn good slice” (even at 2:30 in the morning): high-quality sauce and cheese on a crisp crust. It’s “cleaner, tastier, and fresher” than any other pizza in the area, says erin07nyc. “I hope they do well,” erin adds, “as our pizza situation over here had definitely been lacking.”

And guttergourmet is partial to Muzzarella, a few blocks north, for its Sicilian pizza.
