I’ve been shopping for a dish rack for a while, and it’s been arduous because most of the ones out there are eyesores. Though I know that all things functional aren’t always good-looking, I’d like the area around the kitchen sink to inspire me to want to clean. I’ve found pretty towels, a cool soap dispenser, even a colorful floor mat, and I now think I’ve settled on this dish rack from Simplehuman. I like the utilitarian feel that the steel frame gives it, and I especially like that it looks more like a box than a rack. There’s a knife block to protect blades, and elements of the rack flip out or up depending on what’s drying. But when it’s not in use, the rack stays nice and compact, giving it a more streamlined appearance.
