A $20 pair of onion goggles are profiled briefly in this month’s Cook’s Illustrated.

If you’re outraged that someone’s charging 20 bucks for a pair of onions with eyeholes carved into them, simmer down. The goggles appear to be made of sturdy plastic, and boast foam lining and anti-fog lenses, all of which promise to make cutting onions into a less tear-inducing experience.

Certainly more expensive than burning a candle, chewing gum, or coring the onion, but considerably more humorous to wear around the house.
