The full list of August ALDI Finds is here and there’s a lot to be excited about, from helpful and stylish home accessories to breakfast pizza, mini upside-down cakes, and a true blast from your past (’90s kids, hold on to your bucket hats).
There are plenty of easy dinner starters, snacks, sweets, and beverages in the mix to keep everyone happy, but of course, the beloved German grocery chain doesn’t stop there. Venture into ALDI next month and you’ll find plenty of back-to-school items from planners and backpacks to a home office bamboo monitor stand (since distance learning and working remotely will surely continue to be in play). You’ll even be able to snag hand sanitizer, an at-home haircut kit, and reusable kids’ face masks.
But we winnowed down the list to the 31 things we’re most excited about, and no surprise, most of them are edible.
ALDI Finds: August 5
Specially Selected Lobster Mac & Cheese Bake
The most luxurious mac and cheese you can munch on, and all you have to do is microwave it (though if you can wait a little longer, baking in the oven is always better). There’s also a shrimp and lobster bake option if you want to double up on the shellfish.
Fremont Fish Market Nashville Hot or Togarahi Breaded Shrimp
Crispy breaded shrimp are great folded into tacos for an easy dinner, or piled onto a roll for a shortcut po’ boy. These are even more flavorful than most, thanks to the Nashville hot chicken-style seasoning, or the seven-spice Japanese togarashi. We suggest stocking up on both.
Sundae Shoppe Unicorn or Galactic Ice Cream Cones
If you don’t want to make your own ice cream and the truck doesn’t stop in your neighborhood, treat yourself—or your kids—to these creative cones. The Unicorn Cones are swirled with raspberry and vanilla and topped with rainbow sprinkles (of course), while the star-spangled Galactic cones bring chocolate and vanilla together under a raspberry topping.
This is not a drill. Dunkaroos, that iconic ’90s snack we’ve all missed since the late aughts, are back—though only in the vanilla flavor. But you know you’re buying them…and saving up most of the frosting for that last cookie.
Crofton Sushi Set for Two
Still don’t feel comfortable dining out? Making homemade sushi is surprisingly easy, and with this serving set, you can enjoy it in style too. (If you don’t want to DIY, it also dresses up delivery sushi for date night.)
Simply Nature Ready Pasta Pouch Elbow or Penne
For those nights when you don’t even want to boil water, these pouches of fully cooked pasta just need to be nuked for 60 seconds, then topped with whatever sauce you like. Also perfect for all those kids who will only eat a plain plate of noodles (with some butter, please).
Huntington Home Mini Deco Baskets
If you have yet to organize your junk drawer, you need these. They’re also perfect for neatly stashing all your desk accessories, whether you’re working from home or gearing up the kids for another round of distance learning.

In the Pink Pink Moscato
Mama Cozzi’s Pizza Kitchen Biscuit Crust Sausage Pizza
There are several intriguing pizza styles that will be on ALDI shelves throughout the month of August (including Mexican pizzas, buffalo style chicken pizza, and cheeseburger pizza), but clearly the winner in the category is the one that makes it acceptable to eat a slice for breakfast.

If you don’t have a waffle maker yet, why not? They’re more versatile than you might think, and even your basic breakfast waffles are superior to pancakes (all those crisp-edged nooks and crannies). Plus, waffle makers are really hot right now.
Crofton 11-Inch Comal
A comal is a Mexican cast-iron griddle usually used for cooking tortillas, arepas, and similar treats, but you can also use it for crepes and pancakes, toasting spices, and even sauteing small amounts of food when it’s just you for dinner.

Kirkwood Whole Grain or Blazin’ Hot Chicken Fries
Because “chicken fingers” still sounds weird. Whatever you call them, these breaded chicken breast patty fritters are fully cooked and ready to crisp up in the oven. Choose a spicy version, or one breaded with whole grains, and whip up your favorite dipping sauce.
Specially Selected Bacon Wrapped Shrimp
Just because you’re not hosting parties right now doesn’t mean you can’t treat yourself to some fancy appetizers. These bacon-wrapped shrimp are just the thing to go with your pink wine on a Friday evening. Or eat for dinner on one of those Mondays.
Mama Cozzi’s Pizza Kitchen 2-Pack Cauliflower Crust
Cauliflower happens to be a great low-carb swap for several heavy hitters, like mashed potatoes, rice, and pizza crust. This low-carb cauliflower crust is also gluten-free, and ready to be topped with whatever you want.
