Hearts of palm are a delicious addition to a green salad. SuzMiCo makes a salad by mixing them with plain yogurt or sour cream, salt and pepper, and lots of fresh dill.

stacylyn makes a rich puree that she jokes is “a puree of olive oil, butter, and cream with a bit of hearts of palm”: Saute chopped hearts of palm with copious amounts of butter and olive oil. Add a few crushed garlic cloves, some salt and fresh pepper, and a pinch of cumin, if you like. When tender, add a good amount of heavy cream and puree in a food processor.
