If ever a restaurant space had a curse, it’s the one at 18th and Guerrero in San Francisco, where the list of former tenants includes Ebb & Flow and Craig’s Place.

Izakaya Yuzuki is the latest restaurant in that spot, and after four visits, farmersdaughter says it’s worth checking out.

“Highly recommend following the recommendations of the waitstaff who are very knowledgeable. We have ordered many of the specials and all have been delicious. I’ve worked my way through most of the menu, and there have been no clunkers. Favorites include: kakiage, obanzai (vegetables three ways), the house made tofu, any of the pickled vegetables, chicken meatballs, any of the Kobe beef dishes, chawan mushi, grilled squid, pork belly.”
