Healthy Happy Hour Drinks for Al Fresco Spring Fun

Outdoor happy hours are a spring staple, but the usual margarita or sangria can be high in calories and sugar. Although it can be hard to find healthy options, guilt free drinks help to celebrate spring while preparing for summer.  People, I know drinking outside can be tempting, but lets not sacrifice our summer bodies before the season has even begun. 

Finding a healthy drink option is easier than you think and doesn't sacrifice on taste or flavor. The classics are tempting but they're also filled with sugar and artificial flavorings. You can, and should, treat your body better than that - because indulging doesn't have to be a dirty word. These healthy happy hour drink options are affordable and easy on the waistline, they're also perfect for drinking outside, and fit conveniently in every picnic basket or beach bag.

Berry Blood Orange Breeze

  • 1.5 ounces tequila
  • 2 ounces blood orange juice
  • juice from 1 wedge of lime
  • 1/4 cup blood orange juice

Place 1/4 cup blood orange juice into a bowl. In a separate bowl, combine blood orange zest and sugar.
