Turkey Basted with Coffee Liqueur
This is far and away the best turkey recipe I have; I have tried many others but I always return to this one. I got it from www.GourmetKosherCooking.com – amazing website.
- 1 large (20 pounds and up) turkey
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 2 teaspoons granulated garlic
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- ½ cup coffee liqueur (I use Starbucks)
1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2Place turkey in large roasting pan and sprinkle with spices.
3Roast, uncovered, for ½ hour.
4Pour liqueur over turkey, cover, and return to oven. Cook for an additional 3 to 4 hours, basting along the way.
5Let sit at least 10 minutes before carving.
