With their snowy coating of confectioner’s sugar and rich red velvet showing through the cracks, these red velvet crackle cookies are perfect for the holidays. The key to getting the stunning wintry effect is to coat the balls of dough in a lot of powdered sugar before gently flattening and baking them. The flavor of these tender brown sugar and butter heavy cookies is nice and chocolatey from Dutch processed cocoa and melted semisweet chocolate too.
