This easy gelato is sweetened with natural, minimally processed sweeteners: honey and stevia. The frozen and thawed banana is an essential step since it breaks down the cell walls allowing the banana flavor to flood out. The honey helps reduce the size of the ice crystals making this nice and creamy…the way gelato is supposed to be. When scooping directly from the freezer, allow gelato to sit for a few minutes before serving. Gelato is best served right out of the ice cream maker.
