This sweet apple quick bread is a tasty alternative to a regular morning muffin. In this recipe, tart chunks of Granny Smith apple are folded into a cinnamon-spiced batter that’s then topped with a brown sugar–pecan streusel. Prepare a loaf of this moist bread for special holiday houseguests or as a quick, no-fuss breakfast.
Special equipment: You’ll need a metal 9-by-5-inch loaf pan for this recipe. Loaf pans can be purchased at most cooking supply stores and many large grocery stores.
Game plan: Try using any remaining Granny Smith apples in our classic apple streusel.
