4 of us had dinner at Zuni last night. We tried to go to Oola, but they had no tables until 10. We then narrowed it down to Absinthe, Zuni or Lavende, we haven't been to any of them except for lavende and that was only for drinks. We decided on Zuni. This was my first visit and I was thoroughly impressed with the food and ambiance, service was decent. We started with a Pacific coast oyster sampler, they were delicious, though I don't know how much credit can be given to the kitchen for this. For our main courses 2 of us split the roast chicken and the other two had the duck. The chicken was among the best I've ever had, very moist and flavorful served with delicious bread stuffing. The duck was also very good, served with fried sweet potatoes. None of the desserts looked all that great, so we passed. The restaurant was full but not overly cramped, the high cielings give it a very open feeling. Four glasses of wine plus oysters and four dinners came to $210 with the tip included.
