Res was for 9 pm, we didn't get seated until 10 before 10. Oysters were delicious. Risotto very tasty. Then came the problems. Entree orders taken, then back came the server with the news that they didn't have enough of the onglet. Okay, so we adjusted.
Server proudly took 8 orders without any notation, fine. If you're going to talk the talk, fine. But you better get the orders right. My onglet, ordered rare +, barely came out medium. Another ordered med-rare was also overcooked. Dishes were misplaced.
Now, the beans/olive oil/tomato/onglet was a nice dish, overcooking considered. The olive oil was delicious, the bread sopped up the delcious broth melange. But the portions at Zuni, never generous, seemed especially parsimonious tonight.
Service was a B- at best tonight. All things considered, Zuni has firmly dropped out of the Top 10. It'll be a while before I return.
