Zorba's (Greektown, Balto.)

Since Samos had, predictably enough, it’s “no carryout” sign on its door on Friday night, I instructed my partner to pick up food from Zorba’s. We’ve eaten there plenty of times before, but don’t usually think of the place for carryout. However, it was really top notch. The Greek Village salad was plain, simple, and good, and it’s a shame that they didn’t use better tomatoes at this time of year. The taramasolta was a true standout, though. Among the best that I’ve ever had.. We got the grilled rockfish. Again, simple and perfectly grilled…. For sides we had the “horta” (greens) and lemon potatoes. No disappointments in our entire order…

I just wanted to post this since Zorba’s never seems to get a mention on this board, and I definitely think that it’s a worthy place on its own, or when you’re unable to get in the door at Samos!
