I squeezed in for lunch today--literally squeezed, the small room was jammed. Mysterious Flavor Chicken: small pieces of white meat in a creamy, peanutty sauce with good sneaky heat from Sichuan pepper. I'd prefer less peanut and more mystery, and more heat (now I know to ask for extra-spicy), but all in all it was good. Fried Lotus Root with Pork, on Limster's rec, and once again he's right. Sichuan Green Bean Tofu: very similar to Sichuan Garden's version, except the mung bean jelly is cut into big chunks instead of long gummy worm shapes. Similar Sichuan-peppery chili vinaigrette. Overall, seems similar to SG, and for me the location is much more convenient. I'm looking forward to exploring more of the menu. Did Limster's lunch last Saturday happen? Haven't seen a writeup...
