Zinc Bistro Redeemed

Dear wife and I went for the first time in many months today to Zinc Bistro for late lunch.

No reservations, but with June and tourists out of town did not worry. Hostess was very nice and assisted us with an inside table. Place not very crowded at 1:30 PM but they were doing some business.

We got a waiter immediately and he took our drink orders. Upon his return I ordered my standard Steak Frite, DW ordered a Zinc house salad and onion soup. Her salad came out first of course and was spot on. Crisp greens, nice dressing, some french soft cheese coated baguette. When the entries came she got a perfect onion soup, my flat iron Steak Frite was perfect medium, their wonderful Frites were the same crispy great that I have remembered.

Had two Stella beers, water glasses were always full and service was a 10. The steak frite was $24.00, salad was $10, onion soup was $10, beers were $6 each. Total bill came to a little over $60, a great value. Left $80 and left very happy.

I am not sure every experience there lately is as good as ours, but we are going back. Service and food is as good as anything in Scottsdale. And their steak frite is the best I have found anywhere.
