Finally made it to Zaytinya last night and had a fantastic meal. Definitely lives up to the hype.
Fried eggplant w/ garlic sauce - excellent - my wifes favorite
Baba g - good
Tabouleh - probably the best tabouleh we've ever had - light, fluffy and a perfect amalgam of tastes
Manataria Saganaki - sauteed cremini, oyster and shitake mushrooms then baked with a chees topping - outstanding!
Tomato fritters - the one dissapointment of the night
Imam baldi - very good
Shish taouk - very flavorful
Hunkar begendi - braised lamb shank on a bed of pureed eggplant - mmmm, mmmm good - eggplant puree was like mashed potatoes and gravy
Sauteed squid w/ spinach and dill - very good
For dessert we had
the dates w/ olive oil ice cream - incredible and very different taste
and the turkish delight - again excellent
