ZA review

Sal Monella | Feb 27, 2006 12:17 PM

We took a close friend to ZA last night. It was her first time. We knew what to expect as we've eaten there quite a few times but we wanted to get her reaction as a 1st timer. We all had a great time. The pizzas (I ordered chorizo and roasted garlic, my wife ordered green peppers and onion and our friend order a basic tomato and cheese). We asked that all the pizzas be cooked on the crispy side. The came out exactly the way we expected...just crispy enough without them being burned. We also shared a wonderful flavorful arugula salad. Finished off dinner with a very different rosemary infused creme brulee. At first we thought the rosemary was too strong but as we kept eating it, the flavor came into balance with the eggs. My only slight knock was the server wasn't as attentive as we thought but not a big deal really.

Total tab with generous tip...$73 including 2 beers and 2 glasses of merlot.

All in all a great time was had.
