Yummy's stale dim sum

esme | Mar 15, 2004 02:23 PM

I went to Yummy today for lunch and was rather surprised to see their pathetic version of dim sum. They have one of those warming ovens (similar to the ovens that Subway bakes their bread in) in the dining room with a few sorry, definitely not fresh, dim sum offerings. onces we were seated they asked if we wanted dim sum, and we told them we would have a look. Our waiter walked over the oven and put a few dishes on the try and rolled it over. Who knows how long those dishes were warming there! It was nothing like the wonderful Manderian Kitchen, where I ate last weekend and everything was fresh, fresh, fresh– I should note however, that we arrived at MK about 10 minutes before they opened so everything was flying out of the kitchen fresh and hot AND there was no wait.

Is that what Yummy's dim sum is always like? They should call it Yucky.
