Yummy Wings in Prospect Heights

Though my dear young Celtics lost to the Pacers last night, I was comforted by the wing sampler at UTOPIA, a bar that is only a few months old on the corner of Park Place and Washington.

This place is a bar/grille with a limited menu (burgers, fries). They have plans to expand to brunch one day, but are trying to grow slowly.

On to the wings - some of the largest I have seen (though I don't profess to be a wing expert). With the sampler ($8), you get two wings of the following types:
- buffalo
- Honey BBQ
- jerk

These are not from the freezer- the bartender told me they make them all from scratch. They come with a small cup of goopey, oily blue cheese -- which I liked, and two sad carrots and celery. Whatever -- I didn't order the wings to eat vegetables. You also get four Handi-wipes.

Anyway, the wings are meaty and delicious. I'm not a skilled "food writer" yet, so I'm sorry this isn't more descriptive. The jerk chicken was sufficiently spicy for me.

I hope others will go check out the wings; I know I'll be going back.
