Restaurants & Bars

Young Grasshopper

I had dinner at taka a few days ago, 5 actually.. Its is a cute little sushi place on grove street between bleeker and 7th ave.. Very small, with a few tables and a sushi bar..
The restaurant serVES its food on pottery made by the owner and head chef , taka.. It was inexpensive considering the grade of fish being served...
The menu had several daily specials.. And there was one i could not pass up.. It was grasshoppers.. For three bucks i got about 10 crispy sweet grasshoppers... They crunch when you bit into them and had a sweet sake taste to them.. The dessert section looked poor.

Eh its something different.
