New York Pizza comes to Wicker Park/Bucktown

It was funny: yesterday I biked from Bucktown to New York Pizza (Damen & Lawrence) to satisfy my slice-craving only to find out that they've opened a second location on Armitage just west of Milwaukee!! This is exciting considering the untimely demise of Zio Pino's and the unsavory atmosphere of Big Tony's (though I love their slices).

New York Pizza serves up the real deal: a 22" thin pie that is solid and a contender for the most authentic New York pizza in Chicago. (Another vote goes to Cafe Luigi, 2548 N. Clark.) They also have slices if the 22" pie is overkill.

They're still working on the dining room (although makeshift seating is available).
