With two visits now under my belt, the first a fully comped friends n' family affair while the second was a brunch at which one plate was offered by the kitchen in a lighthearted fashion, I'm comfortable saying that Yardbird is not only the best "southern" restaurant in the city overnight, but that it is also a place with potential to only grow better with time as the team seems to have a lot of good parts in place and, more importantly, the ownership's blessing to innovate.
Sure it is pricy, but no moreso than the original, and while some will be remiss to spend $36 on Chicken and Waffles it must be noted that the portion easily feeds two - as do most appetizers and sides.
