Just wanted to add some more dishes to my previous post...
Wed. I went for back to Yamo (now Burmese) for lunch and split a huge bowl of the cold noodles with chicken and an order of samusas w/ my friend P.
So far the cold noodles are my favorite dish. It's topped with hot chicken tossed in a garlic oil she makes herself, bean sprouts, etc. Comes with a little bowl on the side with cucumbers and some other stuff I can't remember that you add to the noodles yourself. Unlike my other complaint that the dishes were a wee bit oily, this wasn't; it was perfect. Samusas were great, nothing like an Indian samosa. With tax and tip, $5.50 each.
The cold noodles were so good that come dinner time, I found myself craving them. So I went back for dinner. Hey! My clothes were already stinky anyway.
Had the Yamo House (hot) noodles w/ pork because by now it had cooled off a little. So good! Ran into a fellow hound and she generously let me try her mango salad. I really liked my bite but it would probably be better with riper mangoes.
