Yakitori-ya question

Aaron T | Aug 11, 200405:49 PM

I had a very good dinner at Yakitoriya last night (sawtelle & Olympic).

My question is must each person order 5 "sticks" minimum? I went with one other person and the waiter told us we had to order 5 sticks each. We had planned to order fewer sticks, so we could also try the karaoge (sp?) - the fried chicken. We are not big eaters and with the 10 sticks we ordered (combined) + the soups that came with them we did not have room to order any more food.

What do other hounds do there? Did I misunderstand or is the way to try more things to go very hungry or with a large group so you can split an extra dish amoing many people?

I just didn't want to order an extra dish and eat one piece as I prefer not to waste food/order & pay for food I know I won't be able to eat......
