Will be coming to NYC w hubby and looking for a place that's open for Xmas dinner -- not looking to break the bank, looking for good food. Budget $100-200 for two (not big drinkers). We're staying on Upper East side, but can travel through City. We'll probably do a movie day so anywhere near good theaters is a plus.

Also any ideas of good new restaurants to try for around $100-150 for two is most welcomed -- we like all types of food sans Indian, Mexican & Thai (later two bc we're from LA and eat it all the time).

Thanks! (And yes, just starting my research but plan on doing so -- it's been a few years since we've been to your city).
