Is it worth it to make your own demi glace?

I've been wanting some for ages but wonder if it's worth it? Or if there's a good brand to buy at maybe Bi Rite or Golden Gate Meats?

I've been reading recipes for it and they vary like crazy but one thing they seem to share is up to a dozen or more hours of cooking down 10 or 15 quarts of broth into two cups of demi glace.

Worth it? I could get the good veal bones at Guerra Meats, I think; though I would need to purchase the giant stock pot.

And if it is worth it, does anyone have a really great recipe? Thank you!
