How in the world did Piazza Bella . . .

get listed as one of the top neighborhood restaurants in Chicago by Gourmet magazine? Believe me I've tried to understand. I live in the neighborhood and would love to have a great Italian restaurant within walking distance. My husband and I have been there on at least six occasions. Two times we've had to send food back, something I ordinarily do not do, but the dishes were inedible. On three occasions, we've ordered a wine only to be told that they have run out of it. The other meals have simply been ordinary to mediocre. It's very disappointing for a major publication to overlook so many other wonderful restaurants for something that I have found to be so mediocre. Particularly in light of the fact that many out of towners, not aware of this site, may use the Gourmet guide to select a place to eat and think that this restaurant really does represent the best Chicago has to offer. Thoughts?
