Keizo, it was your write-up that inspired us to chase to Wonton Forest in the City of Industry to sample their Wonton Forest noodle soup:
It was delicous beyond what we could have imagined. I now understand the maddening quest for the perfect noodles and wontons. One need go no further than Wonton Forest...the search ends here!
The fresh homemade wontons were amazingly flavorful and the texture was perfect. I would order a plate of those next time.
It is interesting that they have a "dry" soup offering for those of us who prefer all the soup items without the broth; this was really good and I was sad to see the bottom of the bowl.
The homemade chili sauce (which they sell) was a fine flavor add-in.
We also tried the salmon nori cut roll which was quite unusual with its rice noodle wrap.
Keizo, your write-up was very accurate in its capture of this wonderful find. The owners were extremely enthusiastic about their accomplishments...as well they should be. This is one extraordinary wonton shop and we thank you, Chowhounds, for this find.
