Oh what a wonderful lunch/Cocary at Garvey/Garfield

Looking for the Dumpling Master we fell into this Bar B Q Hot Pot restaurant in a shopping center with a bunch of other restaurants in it at 112 N.Garfield, Monterey Park, 91754, 626-573-0691. There is a hot pot/bar b que at each table and the wait person brings a bowl of broth, crackling with flavor and one can choose different meats from the glassed in fridge - chicken, shrimp, lamb, pork, beef with other stuff like fish cake, tofu, vegetables (the latter are $1.25 a dish and the meat is $2.99 a dish). Rice and chopped scallions and tea are provided along with an array of condiments. Sizzling the meat and dipping into the broth lifted the gloom of a long session with the accountant who would have been pleased at the bill: two people $12.59 (was $14.50 but we got a 20% discount because we ate before 3 pm).
It is a real chowey find.

Don't know why they have a B rating - the restroom was squeaky clean and a helper was washing down all the hoods over the bar b ques.
