Just discovered the most wonderful Italian restaurant called Poulding's on the corner of Morris Park Ave. and Poulding Ave. in the Bronx. Nothing to look at from the outside, the restaurant is long and narrow with a number of tables crammed in, but don't worry because you're not here for the ambience but for the best Italian food you've had in a long time at very reasonable price. My veal parmigiana was a huge portion of the most delectable, melt-in-your-mouth veal I've ever had, for only $12.95 including family-style salad with a nice, light vinegar and oil house dressing, fresh Italian bread delivered twice daily from a bakery a few blocks away and green beans sauteed in olive oil with fresh garlic slices. The sauce was perfect as was the melted cheese on top. Others with me had huge portions of eggplant parmigiana and fettucine alfredo with freshly crunchy shrimp. Everyone raved about their food. The waitstaff was friendly and very attentive. Make the trip to the Bronx - you won't be disappointed!
