Wisconsin "Pizza Fries"?

Hello! I'm writing from Atlantic Canada where we have a beloved regional food called garlic fingers. Wikipedia is telling me that Wisconsin has a similar dish called "pizza fries".

Are these as prevalent and loved in Wisconsin as garlic fingers are here? Are they made the same way - with garlic butter? What do you generally dip them in?
