Looking for red and white suggestions. Menu consists of Cantonese-prepared seafood and meat dishes -- squab, beef, roast pig, lobster, abalone, scallops, sea bass, etc. Should be a friendly and pleasant sipping wine (for before the food comes out) and should also go well with the foods described above. Guests are not wine connoiseurs, it's most important that they enjoy, not necessarily be "impressed."
I know that Riesling from the Mosel region is a good white. But does anyone have more suggestions for whites and reds?
