I want to win a bake off!

Wendy Lai | Jul 12, 200508:02 PM     8

So I'm going to a company picnic. I want to enter the dessert bake off and win :)

I don't think I want to do anything too shishy, yet, I don't want to do your run of the mill brownies or pies.

A couple of years ago I won the Chowhound picnic (SF)dessert catagory with a meyer lemon brulee tart. I'm thinking of doing that again...but I don't know if there will be enough servings to get me enough votes. There will be about 100 attendents.

What other ideas do you have? I want something that's not too expensive, so no giant flourless chocolate cake made of Scharfenburger chocolate, and easy to transport and serve, so no individual serving of anything.

TIA!
