Hubby and I took a road trip to Sebastopol to pick up some wine and we decided to try Willi's Wine Bar for lunch. It was fantastic! They have designed it as small plates meant to share. We split Filet Mignon sliders (perfectly cooked with a popover type bread and great bernaise), Pulled duck with Polenta, Pork riblets (fantastic asian flavor) and truffled french fries(!). The food was amazing and plenty to split. We overdid by finishing with a 3 cheese flight. The cheese came with an amazing honey that was also flavored with truffle oil. We paired everything with wine, and then some. Amazing selection in flights, 2oz and 5oz pours. The service was outstanding. Our server even brought extra tastes of wine for us to try. All in all this lunch blew doors on the French Laundry lunch we had a few weeks ago. I highly recommend it to anyone headed to Sonoma Co.
