My husband and some friends (eight total in the group) are going to Williamsburg in September for a long weekend of golf. They're all pretty good eaters (and drinkers) and have run up some large tabs on past trips, but would like to keep costs down at least a little. We're looking for some ideas for dinner, anywhere from dirt cheap but very good to around $30 or maybe $40 per person. A good wine selection wood be a plus but not absolutely necessary.
I've done some research here and on travel sites and am particularly interested in feedback on Berrett's and other seafood places (Whaling Company, Captain George's), Giuseppe's and Doraldo and any other Italian places, Polo Club, and Le Yaca. I'm pretty sure they'll want to go to Old Chickahominy House too, but I'm mostly looking for dinner ideas. Thanks for any advice.
