Williams Smokehouse, Houston - question

Val G | Nov 21, 2003 12:48 PM

Houston 'hounds

We're landing at Bush Intercontinental Airport on Saturday and would like to stop at Williams Smokehouse before driving out to LaPorte and then heading way down the coast the next day.

Our flight arrives at 3:30, so I'm guessing with luggage and car rental, we can hope to arrive at Williams around 5:00. Is Williams the type of place that runs out of BBQ in the early PM? Saturday evening is our only window to go there. Should we not bother and go soemwhere else between the airport and LaPorte?

We live in NJ and are starved for TX bbq and tex-mex food.

Any recs in the San Jacinto Battleground area, or southwards, would also be appreciated. Many Thanks.
