I have to give props to WIldwood BBQ for an awesome pig roast last week. We had about 18 friends together to share in a whole pig. Started with apps of salad, corn bread and fried jalapenos. Perfect for BBQ. Pig came out on a tray, was paraded through the restaurant with our whole group cheering for the poor little guy. Carver was very nice and let us pick through all the good bits and the nasty bits. Sides were Burnt End Baked Beans, mac and cheese, butter mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. Dessert was the only disappointment - cold smores, but who could really eat much dessert after a pig roast?!?!
The pig was smoked for about 10 hours, resulting in a superb flavor. Sides/Apps were solid for a BBQ joint. All was washed down with copious amounts of Six Point Righteous Rye.
If you can get a group of friends together, I highly recommend this place. The staff was friendly and accomodating, the food was tasty and after booze it was still an awesome value.
