Coming home through the Delta earlier this week allowed us the opportunity to stop at Foster's BigHorn in Rio Vista. It's been many, many years since my last visit and it still is a special place to visit. The late owner was a big game hunter and used his establishment to showcase his collection of over 300 wild game trophies. There are also many B&W photos with interesting captions by them. There is so much to look at - and take in. The food is not as dazzling as the setting ...... had some fried asparagus with ranch dressing and a grilled chicken salad. The asparagus had a pretty crunchy batter, maybe a bit heavy but the asparagus still came through. The grilled chicken salad was fine .... chicken moist. Waitresses were friendly and chatty ....... worth a visit if you're in the area.
Oh, they have day glow? condoms in the men's room as a public service.......
