Got a wild hair... Chicago pizza... Ninja driving trip from Madison - 3/13/16

Howdy Hounds,

For years I've been threatening to create an opportunity to try Burt's Place. I find myself with a free Sunday on 3/13/16.

He who hesitates is lost and I've discovered that Burt's is permanently closed.

So, I'm considering a whirlwind round trip drive to pick up TWO pies and come home to Madison.

In honor of Burt's legacy, I'm considering one pie from Gulliver's and one from Pequod's.

I'm sure there are opinions, and I would appreciate reading them.

If you were dedicating this time and energy to two separate storefronts, which two would they be?

Bonus points for recommendations as to your favorite pie and DOUBLE bonus point for having the two storefronts relatively close to each other.

Full disclosure: I have had Pequod's before...and Uno, and Giordano's, and Lou Malnati's....

Looking forward to any thoughts that the hounds can provide.

Giordano's,
Lou Malnati's Pizzeria
