Anyone from Wichita? Peppernuts Help

Acantha | Nov 24, 201405:26 PM     4

I have lost my recipe for peppernuts. It came from the Wichita Eagle-Beacon's annual holiday cookbook insert, I think it was 1980, but it could also be 1979 or 1981. I have been all over the internet and cannot locate the exact one I want.

I remember it had finely chopped or ground nuts and raisins
I am almost positive it had lard in it
there were several cups of flour and either hot water or hot coffee
either molasses or corn syrup

Can anyone help? Someone told me the library has it on microfilm but they charge by the half hour to search and I don't know the exact date, plus I am an ocean away.
