'wich lunch at Tiara

Tiara Café (9th St, north side, btw Main St & Los Angeles St)

In at 1:30 PM, party of 2.
We order (I'm copying from the menu):

1) Fresh'wich Korean BBQ grilled skirt steak fresh'wich with sweet potato noodles, daikon & kimchi, 20th century pear, & romaine hearts wrapped in rice paper with a cucumber juice dipping sauce; $8.00

2) Mini'wich Prosciutto crudo, buratta, & micro arugula mini'wich on a grilled baguette; $9.50

At 2:05 we got two orders. The 1) above, and a substitute for 2) .
Weitress said she misunderstood.
Let's give her the benefit of the doubt.
Substitute listed in the menu as:

3) Mini'wich Toasted goat cheese, roasted bell pepper pinenut puree, artichoke & olive tapenade mini'wich on a toasted baguette $8.50

Number 1) was amazing: cold out of the fridge (55F BBQ?); minuscule slices of tasteless meat about 1/10 " in diameter. Insipid kimchi (how on earth can you manage to make tasteless kimchi!!!) Nice (spicy) cucumber juice, though.

Number 3) consisted of 3 small toasts w/ feta cheese & tapenade (did I read TOASTED goat cheese?), plus some tired undressed greens. Forgettable, to be generous.

Number 2) sounds good on paper, I won't be back to try it.

OUT at 2:50, very unhappy.

P.S. Menu chapters are: mini'wich, pressed'wich, fresh'wich. I came out philologically very en'wiched
