Wi-fi and sushi in Denver (not necessarily together)

I am in my early 30's and attending a conference in Denver next week from Tues - Thurs. After that, I will be visiting friends for the weekend in Broomfield. I'm staying at the Curtis Hotel at the 16th Street Mall. Are there any good cafe type places nearby with wi-fi where I could sit with my laptop and have a bite on Tuesday/Wednesday night?

Also, where are the best sushi places? I've been to two - unfortunately, I can't remember the names - but they were the worst sushi experiences of my life. One was in a big suburban mall. The sushi chef cut himself right in front of us and bled on our spicy tuna roll. We couldn't believe they served it to us. We balked; they claimed it was fish blood; we left. The other place just wasn't very good. Did not taste fresh at all.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
