I cooked a pot of cannellini beans last night to make into a white bean dip for weekend entertaining. After cooking, I left them on the stove to cool down before going into the fridge and promptly forgot about them.
The beans have been sitting at room temperature covered in my dutch oven for about 16 hours. They are still in their cooking liquid (which contained onion and some fennel fronds). Thoughts on whether they are still safe to eat?
