Whiskey Priest alternative (Boston seaport)

TrishUntrapped | Feb 15, 201510:26 AM

First, I want to thank everyone for their suggestions for my group's upcoming trip to Boston for a newspaper convention at the Boston Seaport Hotel. It's this upcoming weekend and fingers crossed we don't get yet another snowstorm. Although right now, sub zero temps are forecast (horrendous wind chill).

Previous post:

Some people in my group are absolutely fascinated by the description of Whiskey Priest, because number one — whiskey, and number two — it has a bad reputation. Like that episode of Seinfeld where George becomes the forbidden fruit when he's perceived as a bad boy. Several people in my group think Whiskey Priest sounds like a whole lotta fun. And... did I say whiskey?

However, many of us do not like the sound of it. But we don't want an ultra quiet, dull bar to go to after the awards banquet. Maybe we can find somewhere we'd all like to go to?

Other choices CH'ers have suggested are Lucky's Lounge, Empire, Jerry Remy's, and Sam's at Louis. Are these still the options you'd recommend? Anything else? With weather threatening to be way below zero with wind chill factors thrown in, a lot in my group would like to stick close to the hotel.

Your thoughts?

Also, I love Eggplant Parm. Saw it on Salvatore'e menu, a spot recommended by CH'ers. Good bet for that? Or somewhere else?

Thanks so much for your help!
