What’s wrong with my muffin recipe?

TH663 | Mar 27, 201805:27 PM     5

I’m trying to recreate “Brownie Bite” muffins from a CA restaurant chain called Souplantation/Sweet Tomatoes. However, when I made them they almost seem more like a cupcake. They don’t have domes, the top is sticky to the touch (even though the insides are done) and they almost seem too moist (maybe the term I’m looking for is the crumb is too close? Not sure.)

This is the recipe I used, supposedly from the restaurant https://www.google.com/amp/www.sandie...

I did see another post from last year by someone that seemed to have a similar problem, but I’m not sure what part of my recipe is not right. Is it possible the temperature is too low, I have too much oil, or not enough flour? Or should I ditch this recipe and find another one altogether? I’d really like to get as close to the original as possible (more like a muffin brownie and not like brownie shaped muffin or a cupcake) as it is for a friend that likes this restaurant’s particular item. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!
